GUATEMALA, Pochuta, Chimaltenango, copper ½ real plantation token, ca. late 1800s, El Retiro / J. Fernández Romero, PCGS MS62 Red-Brown, finest and only example in PCGS census. Paiz-FR.08.01; Rulau-Chm6; Weyl-1718. Obverse with J. FERNANDEZ ROMERO around ½.; reverse with EL RETIRO / POCHUTA around ½.; plain edge. Very bright original luster, light in color but with traces of light rainbow toning, possibly a specimen strike or sample due to its exceptional state of preservation.
